Me encanta este tío. Frederic Slama ha ido sacando sin descanso desde el 2.000 un total de 8 discos en una onda West Coast/ AOR siempre rodeándose de lo mejor de la escena californiana

Me he comprado todos sus discos desde el "L.A Concession" de 2000 que era un simple CDR. Me gusta la variedad que le da a sus canciones principalmente con la inclusión de vocalistas de pedigrí y a la vez bastante desconocidos para el público mas rockero (Rick Riso, Michael Ruff, David Roberts, etc...).
En el nuevo que recientemente me he pillado vuelve a dar en el clavo aunque tira mas hacia el AOR que el WestCoast. Los vocalistas son Philip Bardowell (en 7 temas), Steve Overland, Bill Champlin, Fergie Frederiksen y Dane Donohue.

A mí también me mola este tío, más los temas AOR que los WC, me empecé a interesar por él cuando escuché "You´re my obssession", éste último lo tengo pedido junto al de West of Sunset y al de Hugo/Ramos.

Por cierto que en "Malibu escapade" se pegó un plagio descaradísimo del "Till the end" de los maestros Toto.

No está mal, 4 temiguas de nivel (sobre todon el que canta el cara antigua Overland) pero como le suele pasar siempre, le falta algo de enganche a los estribilliguos!!

Yo con este ya no creo que pique...tengo 2 o 3 de los anteriores y lo que dice jarry, mucha pajigüa...

Este es un milimetro mejor "cantina endogámica" Philon, pero con este pavo, oyes uno, oyes todos!!

Pues a mí los anteriores no me disgustan pero no me entusiasman...aunque este lo están poniendo muy bien

Este ultimo me gusto mucho en especial el tema "You're My Obsession"; vaya rola AOR...

Frédéric Slama and his new project

Frédéric Slama will release his new CD called California 101 "CA 101" in 2009, recorded during the past 25 years.
(UPDATE! Gary will be featured in Frédéric's California 101 CD. He recorded a solo for a demo what Frédéric produced in the early 80's. The solo has been remixed & remastered to fit in "CA 101". The release is scheduled for 2009! UPDATE!)
The CD will feature 100 of the most incredible musicians in the world (+ Frédéric = 101). From Gary Moore to Carlos Santana and all the biggest studio musicians & artists from L.A and London. "CA 101" will be the first album in the world to have such a list of stars on the same CD!
Frédéric Slama is a french songwriter/musician who lived over 10 years in Los Angeles and in the new millenium he has released several albums with his band AOR and other projects. For 15 years Frédéric was a music journalist in France and was responsible for bringing aor/westcoast music to his native country in the late 70's through hundreds of interviews, radio shows and several thousand reviews in different magazines.

No tengo ningun disco oficial de este proyecto, pero si un recopilatorio, el ultimo "The L.A Ambition", y la verdad me gustaron muchos sus temas, pero me gustan mas en onda Westcoast y si hay temas que no puedo dejar de escuchar son "Marina", "If no one cared", "You're my obsession" y la nightera "the way of the night" que temazo me hace perder!
